Good afternoon,

Hoping all you Dis experts can answer my question, and hopefully I won't get flamed for this one. Heading to WDW in a couple of weeks and we have 4 MYW tix with 4 days left on them, plus 4 new MYW tix since we will be there for more than 4 days. Just wondering if it is possible to use 4 of the tix for an entry to a park, but could I use all 8 of my tix to get fast passes?? Will the tix that have previously been used be active if I decide to use the new tix and then try and run all 8 through a fast pass machine?? All my tix have park hopper and no expiration on them. Or are we just limited to the passes that have gone through the entrance scan that day.....

thanks in advance for the answer.

It worked like two years ago for me. I saved my parkhoppers from another trip and was able to get a lot of fastpasses. I tried not too long ago, and it didn't work. I'm thinking they caught on and you'd only be able to get fastpasses for the tickets that got scanned.

Only scanned tickets are valid at FastPass machines.

No flaming, no muss, no fuss. This thread should be locked now before it gets out of control! ;)

Though I have never tried to get fastpasses on anything other than the ticket I used to enter a park, I have read on these boards many times that you can only get FP with tickets that have indeed been scanned to enter the park that day. So, no, it won't work.

Nope, only the tickets that go thru the turnstiles will work for FP, sorry!!

Unfortunately you can only get the FPs for those tickets that were used to get into the park. When you go through the turnstiles, it will activate the ticket inorder for you to get FPs. My DH tried this on our last trip and when he put the ticket into the FP kiosk it spit out a paper that said invalid on it.

The tickets that have not gone through the entrance turnstiles will not work in the fast pass machines. They will reject. WDW hasn't overlooked too many loopholes, and this is no exception.;)

Wow you people are fast....I didn't think it would work, but figured I'd ask anyway. Well there goes the old send Dad to the park early and get fast passes while the rest of us sleep theory...in the long run, I guess i'm kinda glad, so now I can get those sleepy head teens out of bed to make EMH!!

Hi there neighbor to the east..you arrive the day before we do. In any case....about 2 years ago, we went to the Pirate and Princess party. We got there about 5ish, and used just our party ticket to get in. We went to Space Mt where I tried to get a FP. I used my AP, that I had used at AK and DHS at earlier in the day. Well...it didn't work. I couldn't figure it out. I tried that darn AP in the FP machine about five times, then walked up to the CM who was standing there. She asked what I had used in the FP machine and what I had used to get into the park..duh!!! I had to use the party ticket in the FP machine.
In short...no, you have to have used your park passes to enter the park before they can be used for the FP machines.

hi Goofy,

Thanks for the reply, are you flying or driving down?? We're doing the old road trip since airfares remained pretty high due to school vacation week (darn those smart airline execs). Should be plenty of us Mass residents in attendance at the World...we'll be seeing plenty of Celtics and Red Sox shirts for sure!!

have a safe trip, and have a magical vacation!!

I had read that when FP first came out that almost any card would work. Some people found out that their warehouse store (I think Bj's) card would give them a fast pass.

Hi OP, I noticed that you have stayed at the Poly quite a bit. My son and I are staying there for the first time next month. I requested Tahiti because it's close to the TTC, which is what we want. Have you ever stayed at Tahiti during your stays and if so, if you had Garden view would you request 1st floor or 3rd? We have Garden View. I know these are only "requests", but would still like to know. I definetly would like a patio or balcony, don't care which. Do all the floors in Tahiti have a balcony and/or patio?

Thanks for your help!!

Safe trip to you also...I was lucky enough to snag a r/t, non-stop fare of $200 pp, Logan to MCO, for April vacation, last summer. By the time I decided to book it, the Sat to Sat fares were gone, so had to settle for Monday to Friday...but you won't hear me complaining!!! 4 days is better than no days!!

Tahiti is a great longhouse. It is the one we wanted when we stayed there, but they were using it as the concierge longhouse because they were rehabbing Hawaii. We asked for Tokelau..and loved it. That longhouse was pretty central...quiet pool right outside the door, Neverland Club and the laundry just a short walk away. Ceremonial House about a 3 mn walk, as well as the Volcano pool. And the walk to the TTC was about 8 mins...really nice. I would ask for a room with a balcony....I think I remember Tahiti having balconies on both the second and third floors...I just liked being up a bit higher. It was so nice to just walk down to the beach and watch the fireworks and Electric Water Parade each night. You're going to love it there.

It should be possible to enter the park on one ticket. Leave and then reenter on the other ticket both tickets should be active and allow you to get multiple fastpasses. Unless the finger scan might deactivate the 1st ticket by I doubt it is that sophisticated.

I see no "issues" with this as you have paid for both tickets and are not getting anything for free.

Yeah ... but you're wasting an admission for an extra fastpass. I'd rather save the admission for a future trip.

:earsboy:

TACKY!!!! Don't try to cheat the system. One fastpass per paid admission. It's NOT fair to others!!!!!

He paid for 2 admissions, he should get 2 fastpasses if he chooses to use them in this way.
So he is not cheating anyone.
Why is that not fair?

Nope - it definately will only spit out FP's for the tickets used to get into the park that day. DH stayed back and did laundry. I had all 4 of our tickets and two of them looked alike (same character). It was easy for me to figure which one was not mine based on the one that didn't work in the FP machine.

This past Oct I went to DHS on my own one day. I took my DMom and DDad's APs with me and had no issue getting FPs. The APs had not been scanned. Not sure if it has to do with APs being coded differently from MYW passes or if it is something they have corrected, but it did work for me in 2008.
