Flag Family

My family and I will be staying at WL and I was wondering what the whole flag family thing is about. Has anyone done it and was it worth it? Also, how do you get to do it?

We inquired at checkin and then were allowed to pick from the days that were available. My boys were maybe 9 and 7 at the time and they really enjoyed it. Its a great opportunities for some beautiful pics and if you scrapbook the certificate you recieve is a nice addition to the collection.

We were lucky that last year they had Veteran's Day available. What a treat for us to be able to raise the American Flag on Veteran's Day in honor of my dad.

DS9 was excited to raise all the flags, since these are the only flags on site that guests can do.

I was amazed by the awesome view of the world. That alone was worth the experience. I was able to take great pictures, and as we were driving to the airport that day, I was able to take pictures of the flags we put up.

We Leave tomorrow for the WL. I have 2 sons 3 3/4 and 15 months. I think they are too young to be a flag family, would everyone agree?

I think my almost 4 year old would love it but my 15 month old is mobile with no fear.
