FLA resident vs. Annual Pass

Starting when?????????????? I cannot find a single site that says that a Florida ID is not acceptable.

You can get a State Issued ID card and not give up your NY license. My husband and I live in Florida because he goes to school here, but we have kept our drivers licenses. This is considered proof of residence by Disney.

You can get a Florida only driver's license here without surrendering your home-state license. They probably do this for part-time residents ie. snowbirds. I had one before moving here permanently and never had a problem with my seasonal pass purchases or FL resident discounts on resorts.
You can also get a FL ID card.
Contrary to what was posted above, BOTH are good for FL resident verification at WDW.

Thanks! Good luck with the process! I am actually still in the process of getting the state issued ID as well, as we just moved here recently. We have an upcoming trip to WDW, so I have to get it soon!!

It was really easy if I recall. I didn't even have to have anything with my address on it. This was for a FL ONLY license adn the ID card

ahh, name calling.

let me clarify and dumb it down for you. the person that is paying rent for someone else in Florida while residing in NY does not qualify for FL resident rates.

if you want to score the resident rates in Florida, you have to have a FL license, not an ID. they're not honored in the parks anymore.

Okay, since you've been so polite....let me dumb it down for you my friend.

According to Disney policy is DOES quliafy for a resident rate and the Florida ID IS still valid to get resident pricing.

You CAN get a Florida ID without giving up your other out of state ID.

Also, if you have any feeling that I may be wrong about this, you're more than welcome to call 407-WDisney and they'll be more than happy to let you in on this little tidbit of information.

By the way, you could really try to manage to be polite, it really helps the communication process.

if you're that desperate for a discount, good for you. have fun with the wait at the DMV. pay the flippin' extra hundred bucks and move on.

to think that you pay for someone's rent gives you resident status is purely wrong. but feel free to take advantage of the system.
