FL Tours transfer reviews?

I've had one good experience with them and one bad. Happy seems to be a good company though.

No not terrible, just a mix up on the payment due and there was none, had paid ahead of time. It still was a hassle though. I didn't like the driver on this run either. He was kind of a jerk... We didn't get off the ship until 9:00a and he was not happy with this, had several other runs to make that day. Of course that's not my problem... I said it would be 9:30a when I made the reservation. He of course had no clue about this nor did he know about the payment, bad communication on their end all the way around...

Only 1 experience with Fl Tours and it was ok. Booked a month before our cruise for a WDW resort pickup and transfer to the port. We wanted to get to the port early, so we arranged for an 8:45am pickup, we paid in advance for a towncar.

The day before we got a call on my cell from scheduling that said they would not be able to pick us up until 10:30 as they had all their cars at the port pickup up guests and then had to take them to the airport before coming to get us.

I wasn't happy because I booked with them as they did allow an early pick after a while she said the earliest she could get someone there was 9:30am and it would be upgraded to a van (for 3 of us) and I accepted that. The next morning we took our time and when we got to the front our "van" was there and said he had been there since 8:45am and he already had our luggage loaded. We explained the mix up. He was a very nice man and really rushed safely to get us to the port and got us there in about 40 minutes. We tipped him for his fast and friendly service. The unfortunately thing was the van really needed to be retired. None of the seatbelts worked well and the "booster" we reserved was an infant carseat. Not sure of the law in Florida but our 40 lb child was not in a seat belt that was tight or even crossed her chest, it was a lap belt only.

As I said the driver was nice and friendly and seemed concerned that we had a mixup with scheduling.

Hmmmm... I am wondering about my choice a bit now. I would love to hear about any other transfer companies that others recommend. I also thought about Tiffany Town Car... but they were pricey. We would really like the Limo to surprise our kids. We thought of it only because it was still wayyy less costly than the cool DCL bus. $480 for the 7 of us. Only $305 for the Limo with FL. Tours. plus a $60 tip. ($365) What do I do now?

Rent a mini van and drive :) That's what we're going to do. The other thing I didn't like about FL Tours was he drove about 85MPH with one hand on the wheel. Actually a mini van wouldn't be big enough, not with all of your luggage...

Actually... we are packing VERY light. Only taking carry ons. I refuse to pay the checked bag fees since it's only a 3 nt cruise. The clothes are on the smaller side anyway since we will be taking mostly shorts and such. I haved vowed NOT to over pack as in the past! Uuugghh! Thanks for the advice though. Maybe I will inquire about Happy Limo again. :hippie:

FL tours prices were better than Happy limos when we booked but Happy matched FL's prices. We used a towncar from MCO to WDW. WDW to Port and Port to Hyatt at the airport. All three legs we were pleased with the service:thumbsup2

How did you get Happy Limo to price match? Just ask? Would love to hear more about Happy Limo experiences......

Just this past Jan. I copied FL tours on line quote and pasted it into an email contact to Happy Limos website. They responded almost instantly that they would match and asked for my dates and times.

The top bar of their website indicates that they will match competitors :)

I had a good esperience with FL Tours and will be using them again for our trip, now I just hope we don't get bumped as I want to get to port earlier rather than later.

Our driver for the return, Darren, was great, and I wouldn't hesitate to ask for him again. He called my cell saying he would be a little early for our drive from port to ariport, which was great because we got through customs very quickly.

He had a DVD in the van (we were a party of 7) for the kids, and it was a very easy and pleasant drive to the airport.

Several experiences with FL Tours - all very good. We used to use Tiffany Towncar but hey got really high so we switched over to FL Tours and have never been disappointed.

I'll be following this thread too.
We booked FL Tours for our trip in August for our pre cruise stay at Disney and then Carnival in Port Canaveral and back to MCO after cruise.
We really wanted a limo since it is a trip for my dd's Sweet 16 and she is taking her friend (my dh and son will also be on the trip with us LOL).
Thank you for all that responded.
Maybe I should see if I can request a certain driver like Darren.
Thanks.

We have used FL Tours on our last cruise and were very happy with them. Pickup was prompt, the towncar was clean and the driver very polite.

With that being said we are renting a car on our upcoming 3 Day cruise. We will be extending the trip with a trip to Disney World and wanted some flexibility that a rental car provides. Also with it being around Easter I figured car/limo services will really be booked solid with a possibility of delays.

We used them in May 2008 and loved them! We plan on using them again next year!

I recieved a quote from Travelynx from an airport hotel to Port and it was only $75. It thought this was cheap but it sounds it is very cheap maybe to cheap! :confused3

How far ahead should I schedule with a car service? We are cruising in June and have a party of 8. :confused3
