With only 1 week to WDW (yeah!!), I'm finalizing how much money I need. Does anyone know what the sales tax is? I'm specifically looking for tax on the restaurant bills. Since we do TONS of character meals, the prices are pretty standard ~ it's just that end total that gets me! Thanks!!

It will depend on what county you are in. The sales tax in Orange County is 6%, while the tax in Osceola County is 7%. Disney property straddles both counties, so it will depend on where you are spending your money. The All-Star resorts are in Osceola County.

As of January 1, 2003 the sales tax in Orange COuntry increased to 6.5%

That 1/2 percent raise in tax is noticeable on passes that you prepurchase at the Disney Store also, they are reflecting the increase in the tax rate.

Remember also that this .5% tax increase will show up in your hotel and meal costs- as well as any other purchases that you make.

Of course this makes the challange of finding good deals even more interesting!!

;) ;) ;) ;)

Thanks everybody! I guess I'll just figure everything being 7% & use the extra on pins!!
