FL Residency Ticket Help

Ok I am in a bit of a situation. My friends live in florida and purchased tickets for us to go to Disney when we visit them. But they purchased a FL residency ticket and it isn't refundable. Obviously we can't use those so what can we do?

Anyone run into this before? Or have an answer for me?

Oh forgot to add that the tickets they purchased are a voucher that needs to be redeemed by a FL resident

Have your friend call, explain the situation, and hope to get a refund which Disney will likely do

I think you can get a refund on any Disney tickets. If not, explain the situation and ask to pay the price difference if there is one. You will have to for sure show an ID to be able to use the tickets.

They weren't purchased from Disney. They were purchased from her work's ticket site.... And they have a strict no refund policy

Take them to a Ticket Booth or Guest Relations and use them to upgrade to regular Guest tickets. The value will be applied to the correct tickets.

Most FL resident tickets have expiration dates. I've been in this situation before. I went with a person who was new to Florida, didn't have a FL driver's license, and had brought no other documentation along. Guest relations refunded the price of the FL tickets and issued a new ticket appropriate for the user. It shouldn't be a problem, but you'll have to take care of it a guest relations.

You'll convert the complete pass to whichever complete ticket you need. It's a "whole" ticket not individual days.

Your friend can do it at a park or Disney Springs before you arrive.
