FL Res Rates ??

I have seen several ads in the newspaper as well as on the WDW website for FL Res rates. I have booked these in the past for the value resorts, but I am now looking to treat my family to an upgrade. I was just wondering which of the deluxe resorts they usually have these rates for. The ad says "select deluxe resorts". Anyone know the answer to this? TIA

They can be used for any deluxe that has availability. My favorites are the Yacht club and Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Hi, I think it's wonderful that your going to do a Deluxe the best rates with the Florida Residents Specials are at either AKL or WL. Just make a list of which resorts you would like to stay at then call Disney and ask for availibility. The Flordia rates are much like the AP rates, they only have a certain amount of rooms at each resort for each date, best to be flexable with your dates or Resort.

Thanks for your help. We can be flexible with the resort, but not the dates. We take my dd for her b-day every year (she will be 3). Wish me luck!

We have been enjoying WDW resorts for a few years now using the Florida Residents Rates! This summer the discounts are not as good as in the past, but hey -- any discount is better than none. The Fl Resident discounts usually line up precisely with the AP rates. This summer they are offering a flat $30 off a value resort, $60 off a a moderate, and $85 off a deluxe. The reason AKL and WL work out to be the cheapest is because their rates start out lower than the other deluxes, so when you subtract the $85 off them it works out to be a bigger % of discount. Also, the summer is the deluxes value season, so it is their lowest reg. prices to start with, so you get the most value off with using either an AP rate or a Fl. Res. discount at this time of year for them. Check out this site:

It offers details of all the rates for the resorts. You can subtract the Fl. Res. discount off any of the resorts to see what you would be paying.
