We have the Florida Resident Annual Pass, and just booked Saturday 8/30 at the AKL and Sunday 8/31 at the WL for the FL Res AP rate of $109 per night - thought that was a great rate and I'd pass it along to other FL Res AP holders in case they want to spend that weekend at WDW too!

We've been to the GF, Poly, CR, BC, and Swan, but never to either of these and that's why I chose one night at each since they were the same $$$.

You'll have a great time. AKL is so unique! That is a terrific rate! We have the FRASP. We got the AP rate at the Swan for Thanksgiving.

diathoney, Oh sorry, we have the "seasonal" also, I messed up by putting the FR AP instead of the FRSAP in my message. I'm SO glad the blackout dates are gone for a while now! Going through WDW withdrawl!

We have only visited the AKL and WL before to scope them out, and we ate one time at the Whispering Canyon at WL, but have never stayed at either so we're looking forward to it! This time I'd like to take a bus over to CSR just to look at it, since we've never been there either, and maybe have a meal at the Peppermarket. Have a great time at the Swan - we really loved the location of the Swan, and seemed like we could just get to everywhere so easily from there!

The rate you got was a Florida Resident rate so anybody from fla can use it even if they dont have an Annual Pass or Seasonal pass. The only difference in the Florida Resident Annual Pass and the regular Annual Pass is it is just cheaper.

I have the Florida Resident rate for CSR in the end of Sept for 79.00 a night :D

HurricaneWarning- thanks, I guess I thought it was FRSAP since it was on that part of the website, good to know that ALL FL residents can use those rates so I can tell a few friends who don't have AP!

We just bought our passes in May, so could only use them a short while before the "seasonal" blackout dates started June 7 - August 14. Now we're good to go until December 20th, and I plan to make good use of my little pass!

Have a great time at CSR - in my previous post I mentioned I'd like to visit there and look around. I've seen photos and it looks gorgeous - maybe my next stay will have to be there!

We cancelled our AKL room for that weekend because the rate was $306!!!!! Sounds like you got a great deal!

AlisonB - wow, $300+, that makes my rate look even better!

You know, it's kind of funny when I think back and can remember way back in 1975 we stayed at the CR Tower - I think we paid big $$$ even way back then! For some reason I seem to remember getting the confirmation in the mail and about falling over when I actually saw the total amount due in print for the first time! But it was worth it, then and now, just for the delicious sense of anticipation you get before a visit!

Seahunt,

We got the seasonal pass also, four of them. You cant beat the price of them and the room discounts for us Fla residents. My mother-in-law just went (she lives in Ala) with the FTP and stayed at the All Stars and the price was more then what I will pay for the same amount of days and puls have seasonal passes. We plan on going in Dec to the MVMCP!

With the AP rates not out yet for my time (Oct) all I can say is It's great to be a Florida Resident! :bounce:

Great rate! We will also be there Labor day weekend!! Dont forget to wear your green ribbon!!!:)
I really hope its not mobbed that weekend!!

We'll be there Labor Day weekend and the following week. I can't wait to try out Mission Space!

We are booked three nights at WL for 109 and do not have AP. We use Play four passes, much better deal.

I had a seasonal pass for two years. I missed WDW too much during the blackout times, plus we plan to spend some time at WDW around Christmas, so we went ahead for the Annual Pass. It's quite the addiction. :p And I got a great rate for WL courtyard view in September thanks to being a Florida Resident. Probably the only really good thing about living here. ;)
