Hi all...

We're will be in Orlando on the week of August 15. We are planning to visit Universal - mainly to visit the HP section - on Tuesday the 17th and Wednesday the 18th. We are staying at the Boardwalk and will take a shuttle to Universal.

So, I'm a pretty experienced "park goer" and all of my experience tells me - if there's a new hot ride that you MUST go on, then hit it first thing. However, some folks I've talked to (more than one, BTW) have said that for FJ the best best is to skip it first thing, do other stuff, then hit FJ later in the evening. Any thoughts on this? Is the line indeed shorter in the evening?

Any advice appreciated!

I'm interested too !
Please answer :worship::worship::worship:

I'll be there from 08/29 to 09/01.

Is there a "good" restaurant such as Lombard's (US) or Mythos in IOA ?

Big Thanks :thumbsup2

If you want to go on it "first thing" you need to be at the park really early and get in line. People are arriving at 7:30 to line up. They are let into the park with early entry people but because they aren't staying onsite or are package holders, they have to go line up in the Jurassic Park area. You can imagine that by 8:30 there is already quite a line.

If you want to do this, then yes, go first thing, otherwise it sounds like going around dinner time is better.

Crowds will be changing as the summer progresses, so it is a tough call.

I think it's going to be busy no matter when you hit it.

On Thursday at around 6pm, the wait was a 90 min posted wait. I did single rider with my family, though we checked out standby at first (so we saw who would've been in front of us) and we waited 45 minutes. We ended up seeing the people who would've been in front of us in standby get on the ride a minute or so before us.

We came back later around 9:30pm and the wait was 75 minutes. The ride ended up breaking down while we were in line, so it took a lot longer to get on.

I'd say just hit it whenever you feel like it.

Good advice Perrine & damo - thanks. Another QQ...

Do the close down the line before the park closes? In other words - can we get in line at, say, 8:30 and still get in? I assum so, but you never know...

We did forbidden journey first thing when we got there and rode the ride 3 times in an hour. We did this even though people told us oh after 5 the park will start clearing out. So not true, 5, 6, 7, 8 o clock the line still said 75 minutes long. boy were we sure glad that were rode the ride early.
