Five people comfortably in an AKL room?

The deluxe rooms at AKL are larger then the standard rooms. We could see into some of the standard rooms from our balcony and the bed was pretty much right next to the door for the balcony. In our room we had the floor space of the length of the daybed (regular size couch basically) and a bit more between the bed and the balcony door. The deluxe rooms are fine for a family of 5 with the ages of the OP's kids. Like I said earlier you have the added space of the balcony, too, which adds to your space.

This picture was taken by the wall between the bathroom space and the sleeping space. It is hard to tell but there is quite a bit of room between the bunk bed and the wall, the bunk bed and the queen bed and the bunkbed and the balcony door. The space where the double sink is in the bathroom is probably a 10x10 space, so roomy.

They may not be the largest rooms at Disney, but they are roomy enough.

Can I ask how much more your room costed then a stardard room (if you know or have some idea.)

Thanks.

Sammie, thanks for posting that. I don't think we will be using it, since we are DVC members, but it is great to have an idea of how much more then standard rooms they are and I always like to have info to help others. :goodvibes

SO about 30 to 90$ more depending on the the type of room and time you go. Not a bad deal really. I wonder if you had a code if it would apply to that kind of room too. I am guessing it would, if they had any aviliable for that code price (sometimes only a certain number are avilable at the code price.)

Hope others here can use the info also. :flower:

Our room was about $300/night during regular season with an email code. The regular rooms at the same time with the same email code were $166/night. You basically pay double for a family of 5 vs a family of 4. If you stay in a value or mod, you get two rooms, double the price, go deluxe with one room and it is about double the cost of a regular room.

Yes at times the deluxe rooms are discounted if available. I have had friends stay in them with the one queen bed, bunk beds and day bed setup and it was nice. The daybed is the fold down futon type like in the new rooms at the Contemporary and Polynesian. Makes a twin size bed when folded down, when up, it makes a nice sitting area.
