I just read your Legoland recap. We'll be taking our 3 boys on their first trip to Disneyland and Legoland soon. Originally I had Legoland planned for the end of our Disneyland week, but then I decided to put it in front of Disneyland. They are all totally into Legos, but I thought they might enjoy it more when they were "fresh" -- pre-Disneyland exhaustion. And since they've never been to an amusement park before, I thought it would be kind of a good "warm up" to Disneyland. Do you have any touring tips for me for Legoland? I'm hoping November is a good time to visit - and catch the short lines like you did. That sounded great! They've watched some of the stuff on youtube and are so excited. Now I need to go back and read the beginning of your TR...I saw the Legoland part and I started there.

Do you have any touring tips for me for Legoland?

The only thing resembling a touring plan I could find said to do what we did and head to the castle area first, since lines get long at Knight's Tournament and since most people will start with things closer to the entrance. The Pirate's area opens an hour later (I think) than the rest of the park; I think the plan recommended trying to get there when they open...that was the most crowded part of the park when we were there, but it was a really hot day. But we didn't get over there anywhere close to opening, and there was still just the one ride with any line to speak of. Honestly, I suspect the best touring tip for the off season is to go on a weekday if you can. It really didn't matter what order we did things in with the crowds as low as they were.
