Wondering if anyone was unable to ride Forbidden Journey or Escape To Gringotts...we are planning a trip to WWoHP and I hope all of our party can ride togeher....how strict are the size limits? Has Universal made adjustments to accomodate people of all sizes?

Someone posted this video that includes a woman talking about fitting on the ride. That part of the video starts at about the 8:20 mark. I've also read that there is a tester seat, but I can't verify that. Do a search of this forum for "pooh sized" and you'll find several discussions about fitting on rides.

One size doesnt fit all.

It's all about your dimensions and how and where you carry weight. You could be the same weight as someone but you may fit and they won't.

You have to try the test seats and find out. Someone posted recently someone in their group didn't make the test seat, but tried the seat on the ride and fit ok.

Try and see is the only way.

I posted quite a bit of information in the thread a couple of posts down. In general, the team members are pretty good about sizing people up and placing them in the cars in such a way to give them the best chance of riding. That being said, in general, the main test seats for most of the rides are right out in the open and often have little kids sitting in them. Forbidden Journey has a second test seat inside the castle near the sorting hat.

If someones a little embarassed about using the test seat, you can combine it with a photo OP. A lot of people take pictures of their friends (yes it's especially kids that are too small to ride) sitting in the test seats. But if someone is getting a camera out for a picture it looks like you taking a picture instead of seeing if you fit.

Very nice tip about the phots...thx so much!

There is a very informative thread I think it is titled something like "who fits FJ?" Or something close to that.

My DH did not fit in the test seat for Gringott's. The guy working there told him not to bother trying to fit on the ride. The rest of us were riding so he waited on line with us. When we got up near the front he mentioned not fitting to a different person working the ride. That guy told him to try row 6 because it is bigger. He told him if he didn't fit he could just walk thru and it wouldn't be a big deal. He fit fine in row 6 and was glad he tried. He has never tried to fit on FJ. He read too much about the seats being small and decided not to try.
