 Only a few more days and I will be out of the classroom and into the FL sunshine. Meanwhile to aid in packing perhaps you can answer a question for me?

Long ago I remember reading that a lot of folks took their own fitted sheets to aid in making up beds. Are the bottom sheets still "flat"? If so, what size sheet is needed for the sofa bed?

Many thanks!

They provide sheets for all the beds. The bottom sheets are not fitted, but they are there.

The sofa bed is queen size, but you will find sheets for it in one of the closets. If not, call housekeeping and they wil bring you sheets.

All the sheets are flat. I checked the ones on the bed ;) My DD slept on the sofa bed and she made the bed up with flat sheets.

Flat sheets for everything, and the size of the sofa bed is determined by the size of your unit. If you are in a studio, it will be a full (double) size bed, and if you are in a 1 bedroom, it will be a queen size pull out.

True for almost every resort -- but one always has to be different. :rotfl2: VGC has queen sized pull-outs in its studios.

I think what you are referring to is some people will pack a fitted sheet because the flat bottom sheets come off easily. I've never had a problem. I guess it depends on if you toss around or whatever. ;)

We have a fitted king sheet in our OL. Its the first thing I unpack and the last thing I pack each trip.

I launder it before putting it in the magic purple box so it is already to go when we arrive.

I have been bringing my own sheets since I found out that they don't always change the blankets and covers/comforters/bedspreads between guests  (but that's another thread).

For the sofa bed, I usually bring a Double size fitted sheet. I find that it fits both double or queen sofa beds. However, for the regular beds, I bring King for the 1 bds and a Queen size for when we stay in a studio.

We pack a king size fitted sheet for the master, and a queen for the sofa bed (or two if we're in a two bedroom unit). I have red ones that I use so I don't forget them (and it's obvious to housekeeping that they are mine). We also pack pillow cases although they don't fit as well but they work.

I wash the blankets when we get there. I don't want to worry about how long they've been on the bed.

I always pack a fitted sheet as well. Those flat sheets become 'untucked' so easily, just not worth the aggravation.

Actually, the reason the sheets come untucked is because they don't make the bed correctly. I tear the bed down and put the bottom sheet on seperately using mitred corners and then put the other things back on. The bottom sheet stays on when you do it that way. I like the nice sheets DVC has now, so I prefer to do that over bringing my own.
