FITS Tickets

I dont know if anyone has anymore info but on a UK site tonight someone has said that ticketmania are no longer doing FITS tickets - dont know why though.

Here's a reply I got from Ticketmania this afternoon:
"Sorry, but as of yesterday we do not sell Fun in the Sun tickets any more."

:(

My family planned our entire trip around the use of these tickets!!!
Park hopping, water parks, Disneyquest, & the Space Center were all within our tight budget with the FITS tickets.
Now, unless another source of the FITS becomes available, we will have to shorten our trip to afford other ticket options. :headache: :worried:

What is upsetting is that back in February, before I made our reservations for the AS Sports, I emailed Ticketmania about the FITS tickets for this summer. Here is their reply:
"We will be offering this in the middle of March"

Sometimes it can be so hard to plan things in advance!! If anyone hears of another source for the FITS, please PM or email me. Thanks!

Paramount International Travel has them.

I'm going to buy FITS tickets for our upcoming trip.

I've read here on these boards that you have to call Paramount as they don't have the FITS on their web site.

Here is the phone # I got off their site: 1-888-281-6699.

You are going to be at WDW almost the same dates as we are.
We will be there 6/3/-6/15. So you wouldn't be able to use the FITS tickets from Paramount if they are still selling them anyways as they expire at the end of May. I called Paramount and asked about the FITS tickets and was told they didn't know if they were going to get anymore or not. We bought the 10 DAY World Pass at Paramount and it is good for 10 days plus a free character breakfast. They are 10 day parkhoppers that expire 21 days after the first day of use. You would still have to buy the Kennedy Space Center tickets. We are going to Universal as well so the 10 day passes and the 2 day passes that I buy for us will be sufficient coverage for everything. We usually spend a couple days at the beaches as well, so 10 days would probably be too much.

Yes...I've been trip planning, considering FITS for DH (DD and I have AP) as that would allow him to come and go like we can with the AP's, plus include b'fast and KSC. I was just emailed from a 'friend" that she was emailed by Ticketmania that they no longer sell these tickets. It isn't clear if that means "never again" or just that they are no longer selling them because they've run out of their current stock. I suspect, however, that they won't be selling them anylonger, which is a HUGE disappointment.

I just got off the phone with ticketmania. They are not going to be selling the FITS tickets. She said it was very unexpected, but that two people from Disney had come in for a meeting with them 2 days ago and told them they could not sell. She said she didn't know for how long this would be, but at least through the immediate future (like my trip planned this summer)

This is a huge disappointment. I had been planning our whole trip around this ticket, knowing we could go in the parks just for a meal if we wanted. Not sure what I will do now, think I will call paramount.

Just called Paramount Travel (1-888-281-6699). The lady I spoke with said they did still have FITS tickets, but expire in May 2004. She said she didn't know if Disney was planning on continuing this ticket.

They do have the 10 day world pass (has to be used within 21 days of first use) and it also includes a breakfast. She said it was good for teh 4 main parks, 2 water parks, PI, DQ and WWS. The cost is $336 for adults and 276 for children).

This ticket will probably work for us because we will be there for 14 days and 3 of our days will be at Universal.

I am really torn. Feel like I should probably bite the bullit and buy this ticket before they decide not to sell it anymore. But then, if Paramount gets the 30 day tickets, I would rather have those, decisions, decisions.

Hope this information helps anyone out there.

Anyone know which is a better deal:
7 days 6 nights definately 1 disney quest, 1 pleasure island 1 water park and rest of time in disney world. was going to do 5 days of parks and 1 day of dq and 1 of water park.

paramount: 6 Hopper+ DQ ( free ) 292.
FITS: 300

with paramount i will have 1 day plus 1 option used ( i think )

In that case the 6 day hopper looks like the better deal all the way around. even more so now that the FITS pass seems to be gone  so the 10 day world pass is the only one avaliable (and it costs more). But with a day and a plus left over the 6 day looks best. I thought that PI gave the DQ free with 7 day passes, do they also give it with 6?

You would have to call them to check but Im sure they do since they used to give the free breakfast voucher with the 6 and 7 day php. The DQ visit you get is an extra plus on your php--not an extra voucher and I was told like the days and the plusses on the php it never expires.
I would go with the FITS tickets since they werent really that much more than the 6 day php and less than the 10 day.

Please explain. You get a free DQ ticket if you order the 6 day hoppers plus?? How many pluses do you get and is this IN ADDITION to the DQ option? Because I didn't think DQ was one of the plus options normally? And you get a breakfast voucher?

Maggie

I emailed paramount they said they include a free DQ ticket for any 6/7 hopper+ ticket purchased. :)

That is great news firemist. So for each 6 or 7 day hopper you purchase from Paramount they will give you a Disney Quest Ticket. That my end up being our way to go. It is a little cheaper then the 10 day world pass, but does not include the breakfast. Most likely we would only use two of the plus options, but then we could save them for another day.

Pam

They used to give you a breakfast voucher with the /7 day php but they dont anymore. Now they give you one admission to DQ. It is noted as an extra plus on you php and it doesnt expire--just like the days and plusses that come on the ticket.
Now if you get the FITS tickets--they do already come with a breakfast voucher and also include DQ but they do expire after the 30 days--no days or plus options can be used on later trips.

No. Still May 31, 2004, but I just read on another thread that Paramount is no longer offering FITS tickets. I sure hope thta this is a mistake.

Thanks for the quick reply, waltk! I was hoping I had missed something and the new tickets were available! I'll keep my fingers crossed, otherwise we will have to go with APs for our upcoming trip and purchase admission to PI and DQ if we decide to go! It will cost us an extra $200 for APs :earseek:

I called Paramount yesterday and they indicated that they would be getting more tickets past the May 2004 expiration date. I sure hope they know what they are talking about.
