FITS passes -- signature required?

Has anyone ordered FITS passes that had to fax back a copy of their signature in order to process the order? I called up and ordered and they said that I need to fax a copy of signature with a form they are going to send me for authorization.

Do I need to do this to receive them?

Did you charge your order? It may be the authorization for that.
I mailed a money order to them for my passes, so I can't help you on that one.

I do know that when the UPS brings them, you have to sign for them to receive them.

Yup - they needed this to process our credit card order. If you're ordering them from Paramount, you'll receive them within a few days after that.

Can't wait to use ours starting Friday!

mbelec could you post your experience using FITS when you get back. I would love to hear if you have a problem free experience. We have AP's and would like to get this pass for my DM who will be traveling with us this trip.

You have to fax your signature if you are charging them. I sent a personal check so didn't have to send a fax. They did wait for my check to clear before they sent the tickets, which took a little longer (7-10 days).

This is their protection from internet fraud. You send the copy of the card and they match the signature. I was concerned the first time, but now feel it is a pretty smart protective move on their part.
