Any word on when they might offer the fitness classes again? We were there in the past and they had some really great classes like paddleboard yoga, sunrise yoga, paddleboard workout, beach circut training, etc... We will be there in mid November and I'm hoping those will be back.

Classes are running at the four seasons next door. Strike this one up to Disney cutbacks, a la aunties, signature dining et al.

😢 so sad! Guess I'll just have to borrow some things from the fitness center and bring it out to the beach and make up my own workout.

We were told today that the fitness center will be closed starting Monday. They are blaming the regs, but the regs say 50%. I believe it’s more that they would have to have someone making sure they don’t get over full

Or that experience shows they can’t trust folks to follow the rules? I think we have ourselves to blame for a lot of rules that wouldn’t be necessary if everyone just followed the basic rules. Especially shared spaces like this that end up closed because users didn’t mask up or wipe down the equipment the used, etc. And we all know how well it would be received should a cast member “remind” a customer about the rules. (Sarcasm)

OK but the WHO doesn't recommend mask-wearing while working out, and there's no transmission through surfaces so constant wiping down is performative. It's almost 2022, we know these things now. This is much more likely to be a Disney staffing issue.

I have been to the gym and everyone is masked up. I wipe down machines before and after. It seems that they could have someone in the fitness center making sure that people are acting properly. Most resorts do that. By the way it isn’t because of the regs, front desk says that it’s a Disney decision.
