I just want confirmation. I read somewhere that unless you are staying at a resort with a fitness center you do not have access to those fitness centers even for a fee. Is this true? I'm planning my next trip in September and, as everyone knows, its pretty hot out there, so running outdoors probably won't be an option for me and I just like to keep up with my workouts anyway. I have been staying at resorts with centers recently except earlier this month i was only at Riverside for 3 days and didn't think of asking. In September, I was going to stay YC, but decided on a 10-day trip staying at a mod instead. If I have to have a fitness center, this would limit me to CSR. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, that's true. They used to sell a day pass to resort fitness centers, but they no longer do that. You now have to be staying at a resort to use its fitness center.

Yes. This is true. Grand Floridian and Poly share a fitness center, so Poly guests may use the one at GF, but this is a defined case.

If you are at a mod or value you cannot use a fitness center at a Deluxe, even for a fee. It is a differentiator between cost levels. The only mod with a fitness center is CSR, as you mention.

Thanks--I guess then if I want to continue with my 10-day plan, I'll have to book at least part of my stay at CSR. Maybe request Casitas 4 or 5 since fitness at CSR is in 4 I believe.

Actually you can use either the fitness center at Jambo or the one at Kidani. I liked switching between the two when I was staying there.

If all else fails just go for a run or do a few burpees out in the sun. I'm sure you'll sweat off a few hundred calories lol. Personally I stay clear of exercise while on vacation, but I'm a personal trainer and work 50+ hours a week in a gym so for me it's a break from that lifestyle for a few days!

I can well imagine you wouldn't want to see a gym on your vacation--I'm sure I wouldn't if I saw it that much every week and I associated it with work!
