Hi All :wave2:

I am not sure if this is where to post this question, but, here goes. My family and I are going to Disney Magical Kingdom in Jan. and I am really worrying if I am going to be able to go on any rides, like "Its a small world" and some of those ones. I am very large, about a 5X. I of coarse want to go on the rides, but yet I do not want to wait in line, not fit, and embarrass my family. Thanks in response for any replies from those of you that have been there and are familiar with the parks. ::MickeyMo

Check out Deb Willis' page (www.wdwinfo.com and look for a section titled WDW at Large. There will be lots of answers for you there.
I am a size 2X and I found NO problems whatsoever.
Have a great trip!

Thanks for responding. I just went to Debs page and can not find anything that says WDW at large.... I looked through the forums also and did a search :( Is that section maybe not on there anymore? I have to say, that site is very AWESOME!

I'm very pooh sized----3x and only 5' tall. I fit on everything with no problem! The only thing I had trouble getting into and out of was the teacups. Deb's site has some good into on rides for us pooh sized folks. Hope you find the info you need.

:D

Welcome to the DIS, Mom_CEO and a special welcome to WISH. I'm very glad that you found us and I hope you can visit often.

I was a size 3X at one time and had no trouble fitting into the seats. I had to turn sideways to fit through the turnstiles, though.

I don't think you will have many problems fitting onto the rides.

I've had to do the turnstile shimmy too...and have mooned many a person when my shorts got caught. :o

Part of my loyalty to WDW is because their rides are friendly to people of all shapes and sizes. I was so thrilled the first time I went, because I had spent many years watching my family ride things at other parks. At WDW, I could do it all.

Depending on where you carry your weight, you may want to avoid Space Mountain. It's tough getting in and out of those cars. On rides with seat belts, they have extenders for larger people and are very good at putting them on quietly without drawing any attention to you.

Go and have a wonderful time.

When I went to Disney World in January of 2002, I was a 4X, and wore a size 54 pants.

I had slight problems getting into and out of Space Mountain, but that was just embarrasment getting into and out of the cars. Once I got in, I fit just fine.

Other than that, I can't think of ANY rides that I had a problem with. I would also watch it on Test Track. I had to search for the slot to buckle the seat belt, and they started the car before I had fastened it! It scared the crap out of me!!! :)

It's mentioned on Deb Will's site, but if you think you'll have a problem with the turnstile, just use the wheelchair entrance.

You'll have a GREAT time!!!!

I was a 2x and had a tough time on Space Mountain, so I opted not to go on. That was the only ride I said no to. Oh, I opted to be alone on the Runaway Train as well. Now 25 lbs. lighter I'm going on Space Mountain and riding with my son on Runaway Train!

I'm free!
