Fit Flops, anyone?

Been looking into getting a pair of Fit Flops this summer for my more casual sandals as my 5 yr. old Merrills are ready for retirement. Anyone wear them and have any opinions on them? I did some research and they consistently get good reviews on Zappos and some foot/orthopedic sites. Just thought you good people on the Dis could put in your 2 cents to help me out! I found out about Crocs on this board so I'm hoping for the same opinions on these!

Hi Kassi,

I'm a HUGE fan of flip flops. I like to wear For everyday around the town, I like to wear Havaianas. For days that I'm going to walk a distance my two personal favs are Crocs Melbourne and Birkenstock Jasper flips.

I have never tried TEVA, but I have heard good things about that brand. Good luck in your search.

I love my fitflops. I love the thicker sole support. I run so I can't tell if they have helped shape my legs...but i'm very happy with the comfort.

I love mine! I'm pregnant and have been having trouble with arch pain and one of my knees popping out frequently - this is mostly connected to the fact that I'm running a half marathon next weekend, despite being 34 weeks pregnant. Anyway, my arch and knee problems have greatly decreased since I started wearing my Fit Flops around the house and to all of my errands! They have great arch support and the "fit" effect actually does work to strengthen calf and knee muscles.

I actually have the Sketchers version, ShapeUps and OMG, those things are comfy! I'm normally a CROCS Capri girl, but have recently discovered the ShapeUps and Merrills. My feet have never been happier!

I love FitFlops!! So much so I bought the "ROCK STAR" limited addition ones! I have ..4 pairs of them one of these includes the rock star!
They have a ton of swarovski crystals over them, they start at black ones gray,and goes into the clear

I love, love, love my fitflops!!! I have 3 pairs (2 Mickey pairs and then my bling pair with sequins). I have been wearing them about a year now and love them. I can even wear them for all day walking at DL or WDW. I got my black Mickey ones last Sept at WDW and my brown Mickey ones this spring at DL. I am not sure if they help with the toning, but I love the arch support. My arches and feet often hurt (even had a bout of plantar fasceitis?), but I can wear them all day without issue.

My Mom who has a lot of knee problems loves hers too. I think she has 4 pairs. She can also wear hers all over WDW without issue.

I know that not everyone likes them. I have several friends who tried them but hated them and returned them. I actually tried my Mom's on when she first got them, and did not like them. They took a little more getting used to for me.

FitFlop lover here. Was having terrible heel pain last year. Started to wear the FitFlops and my pain went away. May be a coincidence but I find the FitFlops to be so comfortable that I could wear them all day, and have.

OMG! Love them!! Live in them! Literally! Aside from a couple special occasions, they are all I have worn for 2.5 years. I hate to wear shoes and used to have low back a hip pain if I walked around too much. But, I never did with with Fit Flops!! They rule!! ....Oh, and I saw some at Disneyland with subtle Mickeys on them. I'm going to get the brown ones!
