What's "near"? Do you have a vehicle? Can't speak to the lakes/rivers/ponds but if you would be able to get to a coast there are a lot of places to do half-day fishing trips on the Pacific. Searching for Orange County half day or deep sea fishing yields lots of results.

A long time ago you could fish on Tom Sawyer's island in Disneyland. Also there was "The Pond" where you could catch trout, on Lincoln and the Santa Ana River. The original name for the Arena (Duck's Hockey - Concerts) was "The Pond" at Katella and the SA River.

Anaheim River Lakes has been renamed Santa Ana River Lakes. It is about 10 miles NE of Disneyland.

As Sonny said, depends on what you mean by close. Depends on species you want to target and what time of year you will be there.

There are some world class bass lakes a bit down the road in/near San Diego. Some have boat rentals (which can go very quickly during the spawn) or for a pretty penny you can probably find a plethora of guides available.

Ocean fishing will be all over the place depending on what you want to catch. There are probably potluck party boats out of every port, specific tuna runs, 2-7 day charters, you name it.

There are apparently other places, including city and county parks with mostly artificial lakes. The issue will be when they stock the lakes with trout. The discussion I saw was that many will pressure anyone catching a largemouth bass to release it.

You can also check the fish planting schedule for Orange County. Apparently the state is planting trout in 8 lakes in Orange County this week, although it's not specific about the exact date.
