Fishing trips

I need an opinion from folks that have taken one of the 2 hour fishing trips. I would like to know your preferred location. I am currently booked for trip fro PO Riverside but am a little concerned about where the guide will go. I imagine only on the river and in the lake by DTD. I thought maybe the trip from a monorail resort or Wilderness Lodge might be more fun?

We generally go from the Boardwalk because that is where we stay and since we generally go on the 700am trip, it is just much easier to fall out of bed and get down to the boat (and not have to drive anywhere). This excursion goes into World Showcase (only the 7am one does, I believe) which is very cool and then over by MGM and to different spots in Crescent Lake, depending on where the fish are biting (and not always in this same order). I have always enjoyed this because I get a real kick out of being in Epcot. On our trip in December, we also went from Wilderness Lodge and went to differenct spots around Bay Lake including by the Contemporary dock (great advertising - just as a boat was letting out my husband caught a nice big one!) and by the old Discovery Island. It was just beautiful the day we went and I would recommend it highly (my husband prefers the Bay Lake excursions - he really likes the setting). Enjoy!

Thanks for the info! I think we just wil stay with the 7am from Port Orleans, I imagine the guide will be able to locate the fish!!!

We done the 7 am fishing from DTD. Unfortunatly our guide could not find the fish, or they just were not biting. We did not catch any, nor had a bite. We just went in the water surrounding DTD.
