Fishing trips? Tell me about it.

I would love to hear from anyone who has done any of the fishing trips.

We just did the fishing excursion Friday. We've been to WDW many times so we always try to add something new each trip. This time we tried fishing. We had a great time!! My boys are 16 and 13 and they thought this was great. My DH loved it because the driver did all the work so DH actually got to fish instead of taking care of everyone's poles, lines and bait. We arranged to be picked up at the Polynesian and the boat took us out into Bay Lake. The driver had everything ready for us. He had a cooler with sodas and the poles were ready to go. He took care of the bait and helped the boys with casting when needed. When we caught a fish he would pull it in with the net, cut it loose, throw it back and then set us up again. It was a 2 hour excursion and we all caught fish - 16 total. We took the 1:30 trip so we could do the park in the morning before the crowds arrived. The driver said the morning excursions usually catch even more. It was very relaxing and a lot of fun. I think this will be one of my boy's new favorite memories. What was the cost? And, of course, my kids want to know how big were the fish? What type of fish? What type of boat was it, was there shade on the boat? Is it hard to book the boats?

I believe the price is around $160.00 for a two hour trip. You can have up to five people on board. It's a pontoon style boat and it is covered to offer shade.
All the fish I caught were large mouth bass. I had no trouble booking the trip the night before I wanted to go.
