Fishing on property......

Hey,
Can anyone tell me if you can fish on any of those ponds all over WDW property? There are no "no fishing" signs and my DH is really wants to drop a line in one of them?

Yes you can. It is catch and release and you do not need a fishing license.

Ohiophilp - Just to clarify, Is it a yes for even the ones along the road sides? Not part of a resort? It would definitely be catch and release!! Have you done it?

I have not tried to fish outside the campground. Inquire at the bike barn, iam sure they would know. There is plenty of room to fish in the canals by the Meadows and you can access the pond at the entrance to 200 loop. My grand kids have always caught bluegills in that area. I just noticed on your post that your next vacation is in 2 weeks. We will arrive at the 12-14-11 staying till 12-30-11. My son and grand kids will spend a good share of the time fishing. Might see on the banks of the canals.
