Fishing in Hilton Head by DVC

We are heading down tomorrow and will be at the DVC. My 10 yo wants to know if there is any good shore fishing nearby? Not surf, but maybe a lake or pond or pier where he can catch something?

Fish (or crab) off the pier at the complex. It juts into the sound. You can rent poles and buy bait from community house. My kids (and now my grands) love it.

We spend lots of time sitting in the swing in back of Live Oak Lodge, and very often we have people nearby fishing off the shore.
