Fishing excursions?

We're planning on going to FL for Christmas for 2 weeks and renting a house so we want to do some other stuff besides Disney While I shop the boys are going to go fishing with DH. There are lots of charters I can find but they are $$$ Any tips on some central FL places to fish or even out on either coast that would be a day trip?

Guides will run you anywhere in the 300-400 range. Some include some bait but depending on the day you can expect to spend another 50-100 for shiners. Lake Toho and Kissimee are not far and offer some decent fishing. I personally fish further south and hit stick marsh/farm 13. But thats nearly 90 mins from WDW. Prior to me pulling me own boat down I've used http://www.hawghunter.net. Good service and never had an issue.

I've been looking also and found this site, which is much more reasonable on the prices. Fishtalestours.com
