Fishing and Holiday inn

We are going in July. My other half wants to know if it is worth taking his telescopic rod with us, for a bit of fun fishising. We are staying at international drive holiday inn. Also I have been reading mixed reports of the hotel. Anyone been to this hotel. Thanks.

Fishing is always part of our WDW trips for DH , but we've never stayed on International Drive so I can't say whether or not you'll be able to find any fishing spots near your hotel.

If you'll have your own transport, I'd say it's definitely worthwhile your DH packing his rod so that he's all set if he does find somewhere to fish . I can't remember the requirements for licences, etc., but I know DH has never had much trouble sorting out whatever was needed.

DH always makes a point of telling the airline check-in staff about the tackle in our hold luggage (as well as a rod or two, he also takes a selection of hooks, lures, spinners, etc), but there hasn't been any problem with that so far.

Thanks Hilary. I will let the old man know, It will be a great help to him. Mind you I dont know where we are going to find time. HE HE
