Fish Extenders on our next cruise

On our last cruise me and my 12 year old daughter did fish extenders which is basically a gift exchange with other cruisers. We had so much fun delivering, buying and receiving the gifts. Does anyone have suggestions on how to connect with people on our next cruise who might want to do fish extenders? We are leaving from Miami on the Disney Magic on December 27, 2015. We have done that, and the cruise meet thread not very active. No one seems to be using it. So, we are looking for other ideas on how to connect with other people who want to do fish extenders.

Unfortunately, the Disboards has instituted a policy where cruise meet groups on other social media sites are not allowed to be linked to or instructions given on how to find them. The activity in the cruise meet groups here dropped off significantly after this policy was put in place and was being enforced with points given out for mentions of groups on other sites.

You may want to try other social sites, like cruise critic forums or also looking for a sailing group on the dreaded social media site that has a logo the color of my font.

Ha ha ha... yes, my TA cruise is currently organizing on social media as well. The new policy is a bit disappointing, as I feel like people are missing out on fun things like FE's as Dreams Unlimited tries to keep people from straying to other sites/TA's.

I keep checking for a cruise meet thread for our next cruise. There is nothing yet. I don't want to start it. And, as much as I want to participate in a FE exchange, I will NOT be responsible for the list since we cannot use Google Docs.

So start using your thread. MAKE it active.

It can be hard to find cruises on there. So post to it. Keep it current. Have discussions. Let people find it easier.

I feel like people are missing out on fun things like FE's as Dreams Unlimited tries to keep people from straying to other sites/TA's.

Alternatively kwown as not wanting to hae their members give out info to people who might USE that info for reasons other than the FE. People like to think that Dis/DU are evil and won't let anything else be mentioned, but they generally (can't say always because I know of one innocent situation that was misconstrued and a business blocked) don't block willynilly. All sorts of TA websites can be mentioned here. And other sites. But some people were snagging info dis'ers had given on a site or through docs and were using it for OTHER purposes.

If you like that, WHY would you use google docs and give everyone everyone else's info?
