Fish Extenders for the Podcast Cruise

I went JoAnn's tonight and bought the rest of the materials I need to construct my FE. It is a weekend project though, I think, unless the next two days are exceedingly slow.....I shall update once I have a change in status.

Can't wait to see! I haven't even started on mine, but I have the design in my head. Hopefully this weekend I will make it to the fabric store. Getting even more excited!

Question on the width of the Fish Extender. Is the 8" maximum for the pocket section, or does that have to include the hanger part as well?

Help, I need some ideas. I have room on the top and bottom of my FE to embroider something. I just can't decide what to put on there. I am very weird about having my last name on there. I don't know why, but I can't do it. I was thinking about Cruisin' with Mickey or Podcast Cruise. I am afraid to put Podcast cruise on it because if I ever do this again I am planning on using the same FE. I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas.

I bought everything I need for my FE yesterday! So excited! Just wonderif if ya'll could share the measurements for the fish extender. How long/wide for the extender itself, and how long/wide for the pockets. My FE will be two pockets only.

I am done with my FE. I made an executive decision to skip the rod because the material I choose was so heavy. I am regretting my decision a little bit. I made it double sided with a Pirate Night theme on one side.

Anne, you could add a couple more grommets in the middle and just do loops of the cording and add the dowel rod. I think I am going to do loops of the base fabric. I need to hit Joann's and get the stablizer for the embroidery machine. I have everything cut out and I need to do the embroidery before I can do the construction. I see a bit of sewing in my future. Still debating making a dress for the cruise. I found a couple cute dress patterns and I have a couple fabrics that would be good for a nice summer dress or 2.
