Fish Extender Question

Hi, another newbie here and I wanted to know how I can join in the fun with the FE? I am sailing on 9/1/08!! Thanks for any help!

You can make your fish extender as long as you want I made mine 32".Here is mine that I made for the PC in August. I put my last name on it but also put a tag with my Disboard name.

That is so cool treasure map fabric!! I am doing plain lime green fabric. How wide is your dowel rod from ball to ball?

jumping in : Our FE's are 8-8 1/2" wide and I cut the dowels 12" long. The balls at the end (which I decorated) add about 1/2".

Looking forward to seeing more FE's. I will post mine once I send them out. I'd hate for the recipients to see them here before they open the packages. Kinda anti-climactic, no?

MMcd- I got the pirate fabric at Joanns and my dowel was cut at 10 1/2" by the time you put the ballcaps on the end it fit perfectly.

Where can I find the cute MM heads that are on the ends of the rod that the FE hangs from? Are they antena toppers or something I have yet to encounter? Thanks.

Some people use the antenna balls other people use wooden balls and cut a slit in them and then they use a flat wooden disc that is round and put it in the slit to make the ears.

You hang them from the fish clip outside your cabin. They are to exchange little gifts with fellow DIS'rs on your cruise. On the EB Repo cruise we have a little over 100 cabins participating!
