I know this was addressed before but I wanted to give an update. On Sept 1, the fish and chip stand in the UK is still closed and covered for refurbishment.

Hi! I was alittle upset for our stay 18 - 25 because it was closed the whole time we were there. I really wanted to try it.

Next time I go, I'll update and let you guys know what's happening :)

oohhh--I LOVE fish & chips...Will it be opened for Christmas wekk?? :confused3

It was closed during our stay from August 26-September 3, but I prefer the fish and chips at the Columbia Harbour House or Cookes of Dublin (CS by Raglan Road in Downtown Disney) over the UK in Epcot any day IMHO.

:sad2: This is not good news...but thanks for the update.

I am pretty sure you can still get your fish and chips fix at the Rose & Crown pub next door to the fish shop.

I'm not that big a fan of fish & chips, but the ones from Cooke's were terrific! :bounce: (I have had those from the stand and the pub at R & C, which were okay.)

For those looking for Fish & Chips while the UK window is closed you have two options. The pub will let you get it to go or Raglan Road/Cooke's. We felt these were better then the ones at the UK pavillion.

As of Sept 10, it's still closed but there is a sign reminding everyone you can get fish and chips in the pub :) No sign of change other than that.

We were just there from Sept. 6-9 and this may sound stupid but the fish & chips at the little stand were one of the things on my trip I was looking forward to most (I love my food). I was soooooo disappointed!! Before we went into Epcot, someone by the pool told us they were closed. I called dining services to ask them and they said they were open!!! They were wrong!! :confused3

Oh NO!!! If you get it to go does it count as CS or TS?? Just wondering.

i would imagine it would count as a CS if your not actually having a sit down meal but im not sure.

Believe it or not, you are not alone. We are arriving on 9/29 and this is the one CS I told my family I didn't want to miss. Not just for the F&C, although I really enjoyed them, but I had some sort of cider from there last time we went and absolutely loved it. I have no idea what it was, but the nice girl at the counter recommended it when I ordered our F&C on our last visit.

Hopefully it will be open sometime before 10/8. At the very least, I'd sure like to find out what it was so I can try to get it somewhere locally (Nebraska).

GOOD NEWS for those going to Epcot soon! I just read on wdwig.com that the fish shop will reopen on September 23rd.
