Luckily, our neighborhood doesn't seem to have a problem with teens ToT'ing. There were several 14, 15 and 16 year olds in our group, all dressed up and having a blast. My DS16 did not collect candy, but he dressed as Lenny Kravitz and ended up playing the Zorro theme on his guitar at each house, standing behind a friend dressed as Zorro. It was hilarious and everyone gave "Zorro" extra candy.
My kids still go out including my 17 year old DD who went with a few of her 17 year old friends. Our last t-o-t's were not dressed but sang Christmas carols, DD said she knew one of them and thought she was a year or two older then my daughter, so 18 or 19. My guess is poor college kids.

My bil and his wife came by with their kids (9, 7 and 2) and ds did tag along with them for a little while. It was SO cold here last night, ToT was on the lighter side!
At the age of 13 my kids, adults now, gave up ToTing, but we still had a great time on the holiday. Our house was quite set back from the road and our driveway leading to the house lined with trees. We were known as 'the house' at Halloween because we really tried to create a scene of a haunted house, but things even improved as the kids got older. They added more decorations and still dressed in costume for the occasion along with Dh and I to add to the feeling of the holiday. Even though the kids felt too old for ToTing, we had a great time working together to make the day special for the children who came to our house.
DS14 declared himself too old for trick or treating. However, 5 minutes before DH took the younger ones trick or treating, DS dressed up and went with them. He didn't trick or treat though, he just wanted to walk around in costume with my DH, who also dressed up.
