I am planning on bringing my sisters along for their very first Disney Trip! :cool1: :cool1:
So excited to share this with them,, My plan is to arrive around 4pm or so and have a nice dinner and I need something to WOW them,, make them excited to be at Disney! They have been saying to me,, how can you like Disney so much,, so I want what ever I do on our first night to WOW them and realize why I love Disney as much as I do!

So,,, What would you do to wow some 30 year old Girls who have never been to Disney??
And where would you eat for their first meal,, I dont think they would appricate characters on their first dinner,, so My though was The Castle,(Little character interaction) but I have not done that since this past May and I know that the dinner has changed and need to read up on that..

Please bring on the ideas...TIA

How about the California Grill? It's a great restaurant and if you time it right, you may get to view Wishes during dinner.

I'd take them to Epcot and pick from a restaurant there like perhaps Le Cellier. Do a little shopping/strolling after and stay for Illuminations. :thumbsup2

Take an Illuminations or Wishes cruise. That should cover the WOW factor :thumbsup2 .

Dinner at Cali Grill or Ohanas or one of the GF restaurants how about Artist point and a Wishes cruise. Or the same thing with one of the Epcot resorts and Illuminations cruise. If you want something other than a cruise do one of the Epcot area resorts and spend the night at the BW at Jellyrolls or Atlantic Dance. If not that Fulton's or Raglan road and a night on the town at PI. If neither of those restaurants appeal to you then one of the Westside ones Bongos and House of Blues are nice and PI. If they want to act a little like a kid why not mini golf instead of the more adult pursuits I have listed.

I listed things that do not require park admission. I think if you want to go to a park then WS at epcot at night is just wonderful.

Head over to the Y&B and have dinner at the Yachtsmans Steakhouse. Then on to Jellyrolls for some piano bar music and fun.

My WOW factor with my dad, my stepmother, my in-laws, and my husband and I just happened to occur. We went to Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner at Wilderness Lodge. None of the "older" folk had been there. They were properly WOWed. My father, Grumpy as he is, thought it would take forever to be seated (Saturday night). Ten minutes later, I had to pry everyone from the lobby to the restaurant. We did have a reservation which helped. From there, it went great. We had crayons on the table but nothing to color which my father complained about. So I asked the server for something to color. And we did. I saw my 70+ year old father who is the biggest grump on the face of the planet sit there and color Bear in the Big Blue House. We did get rewarded with a certificate and some stickers. And I saw my stepmother do the Hokkie Pokkie. A wonderful night that I didn't plan. Whatever you choose, I'll be special.

So many choices, so little time! Narcoossee's @ GF, beautiful location, hotel, can see the castle, Wishes. Yachtsman Steakhouse and Boardwalk afterwards. Portobello or Fulton's at DD, Pleasure Island or Cirque Du Soleil afterwards. There are so many things to do without ever going to the parks...
How exciting to plan a trip for your sisters.

as a 29 yr old,my wow factor is taking the ferryboat to mk-just seeing the castle in the distance sets my heart fluttering.
You could maybe go to ohanas for dinner and then head in to mk for wishes and spectro

I second that!

Kona is also a good choice. And ride the monorail both loops. With arriving at 4 I do not know if I would do a park.
If you are doing a park & want a good meal go for Epcot. And then watch Illuinations.

Eat at O'Hanas and watch the fireworks, then jump onto the monorail to watch the Electric Lights Water parade. We do this on our first night and we're so excited to start our first day at the park the next morning.
