First welcome home trip

Hi everyone! We have just made our first DVC purchase at Riviera. Can anyone tell me a bit more about the first welcome home trip please? Our first trip using our points probably won’t be until October 2021 - does this mean we will miss out on taking advantage of this? (ie do they look for you to book this within a certain time frame?)

You are already planning more than 11 months out, you shouldn't have a problem booking Riviera, even if it's a high demand period. If you wanted something more short term and you cannot see any availability then MS might be able to find something for you, but it's never guaranteed.

Ahh I see! So it’s only really beneficial for anyone wanting to book their first trip at shorter notice.

It's an offer on the table only for 5 or maybe 6 months after you purchase. And yes, it's meant to help you get a reservation on shorter notice when most places are already booked up.
