My brother is planning a trip the first week of November. I read in the Unoffical Guide that the first week of November is one of the busiest times. Does anyone know why that is?

It could be "Jersey Week" - to quote Mouseavers...Usually the first or second week of November. The New Jersey schools have a teachers' convention (2009 dates: November 5-6), which is often close to Veterans Day. Lots of people take advantage of this time off to pull their kids out of school for the whole week and add on the weekend before and/or after, taking this opportunity to go to Disney World in the "off season." New Jersey is the single biggest market for Walt Disney World -- you do the math!

We've hit Jersey week before and it wasn't all that bad, especially compared to Thanksgiving!

My sister and I went for my 40th last year Nov. 2-6 and had a great time. Didn't seem any busier than when we usually go in the summer, and we just enjoyed going with the flow. EMH in the evening were great, since we usually slept in. I never let crowds bother me, because I'm in WDW and other people are stuck at home either in school or at work!!!:thumbsup2

Thank you for responding. I wondered about Jersey Week because I had heard that somewhere before.
