Is this still a good tiime to visit without the Halloween or Christmas crowds, but still able to see HM decorated for the holidays?

I have never been there then, but I do know a bit about crowd trends.

November is an off time because everyone is in school and work.

If you are going to go then, do not go Thanksgiving Week. I would avoid Veterans Day week too. I am not sure but I think some places get off a Monday for Veterans Day.

The first and third week in November would probably be your best bet. Also the less hours the park is open the less busy it seems to be. So if you get a couple day pass and go some 10-8 days the crowds should be light.

We were there the week of Veterans Day last year, the park seemed not too crowded every day except Veterans Day (which was a Wednesday if I remember correctly) and on Friday which was the start of Christmas season. We are going back just a bit sooner this year for one last trip before our APs expire on the 8th.

Great thread!! We are going Nov. 6-11 for 5 days with 1 free (no Disney) day on the Monday. We were planning on hitting the Veterns day in order to squeeze in another F! or WOC show.

We'll be there on both a Sat and a Sunday already so maybe its not worth the hassle to go on Veterns day and we can just use our other disney day on our free day.

Decisions, decisions.......

OP, from what I've read early Nov. is fairly quiet and lots of "walk-on" rides if you go during the week :)

We were there the first week of Nov. last year and loved it so much we are planning to go back.

We collected FP - but didn't use them. We came home with a bunch. The longest we waited was 30 ish minutes for TSMM - but everything else was 5-10, including Space and Screamin. The only ride we ever used FP for that whole week was Space.

Park hours are 10 am to 8 pm at DL and 10 am to 6 pm at DCA. Do NOT expect any parades, fireworks or evening shows to be running during the week. Also, IASW will be down for it's holiday overlay. HM will be up and running.

Halloween decorations will be coming down daily and Christmas decorations will be going up in their place - we loved seeing the Christmas and Halloween decos side by side.

It was so uncrowded that our DS 7 was able to ride Screamin 15 times in 3 days before we all got tired of riding it with him and told him NO MORE! It was a great trip and I highly recommend going that week as long as you include a weekend day or two so you can see some fireworks and parades if that is important to you. :thumbsup2

we were there too, and during the filming of the tv Christmas parade, which was fun to see (bits of it). It was quiet, as others reported, and you could get gingerbread Mickey cookies, etc. HM was up for Christmas, but Small World and Space Mt. Were closed while we were there. It was a wonderful trip!

Enjoy :hippie:

We were there the same time as Brady's Mom. It was terrific! She forgot to mention that the weather that week was warm & beautiful. Not sure if that's the norm, or if it was a fluke, but it was soooo nice.

In planning this November's trip, we seriously went back and forth trying to decide whether to do that week again or try to catch the official opening of the Christmas holiday season.
