First week of June - will we regret not staying onsite to get front of line access?

Hello, we haven't been to Universal in about 7 years and would like to go back the first week of June this year. We didn't decide until this week though, so I've been unable to find any good deals at the onsite hotels.

My question: How bad will the lines be without the front of the line access staying onsite gets you? We would be there June 2nd - 8th.

TIA!

You should be OK that week since some schools are still in session and the busy vacation season hasn't gotten into full swing yet.

Thanks for the responses! I was thinking that the Express Pass you can purchase when you aren't staying onsite only got you front of the line once for each attraction. The one you get when you are staying onsite, is unlimited access right?

Right.

The purchased express passes can only be used once per attraction.

The onsite passes are unlimited.

Neither can be used on Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey or Rip Ride Rockit.
