We had a family trip planned for Spring Break and booked the hotel last July, and then found out we were expecting and due in March. Sooo, that trip was cancelled and I am trying to talk to dh into rebooking for the first week of June. The resort we were going to stay in has availability and dh is retired military and I got an email for discounted tickets, so things are lining up good so far!!

My question is what is the weather like the first week of June and would we be crazy to do Disneyland with a 3 month old at that time? We did WDW with ds2 when he was 10 weeks, but that was November. We had a great trip and had no problems with a little one then. DS1 will be just shy of 6 and ds2 will be almost 4.

Well our reservations are for June 1-8 and i would like to know the same and what crowds will be like? It is early summer, but are schools out then around the area? Any local holidays? If anyone can help with this or any one ever been the first week of June?

I think you will be fine. Weather should be beautiful unless they get a freak rain storm or something. We went last year for my birthday the 10th and 11th. The morning is usually fairly overcast due to "June gloom", but between 10 and noon clears off to beautifully sunny. Temps are usually in the 60's in the mornings, 70's to 80's in the afternoons. Can always be hotter or colder though. You will be dealing with lots of kids probably as they do end of school year stuff, then there are the highschooler's who do the Grad night, not sure what night that is this year. I think it's still a great time of year to go, before it gets super busy when EVERYONE and their mother in law is taking vacation.

So Cal high schools won't be done with the school year yet. Some local colleges will be. Grad nights are later in the month.

P.S. Congrats on your upcoming new family member.

Anything has to be better than the spring break trip we took in 05. It was crazy busy everyday we were there.

Grad nites this year will be on the 4th, 11th, and 18th of June. So watch out for that.

Wow! They are early this year. My apologies for the above mis-information. Thanks for the correction.

We are going the first week of June as well. We went the same time last year too. I like this week as it is right after we get out of school and before Calif gets out. So crowds are not bad yet.

Above poster is correct that it can be "gloomy" in the am but usually burns off by mid day. Crowds are heavy but there are usually school groups there. We saw several during this week last year but it wasn't overwhelming and they were generally considerate of others. We usually wear a light jacket at night as the weather is a tad cool for us Texans. Grad night did not really affect us last year as we knew the date and planned accordingly.

We just went at this time last year.

Weather - It's called the June Gloom - basically it is overcast in the morning and then it turns into the most beautiful day and then gets sort of cold again at night. I think the highs were in the 70's and then it would dip to low 50's at night. It was beautiful. We ended up buying DL hoodies for the night time. We didn't mind the gloom in the morning. California is always so beautiful!!! It has never rained a drop when we have been there. Amazing. I love the weather so much better than at WDW.

Crowds - weekdays were awesome. There was little to no wait during the weekdays. The weekends would pick up though. Imagine a theme park in your local area on the weekends. It was still manageable but more crowded...especially for the fireworks and and Fantasmic!

I would say the first week of June is a great time. Like another poster said the school crowds weren't there in the daytime because their not out yet but count on a few nights to be dedicated to Grad Nights were they close the park early.

We are from KC also :) :goodvibes

The more I hear, the more I am just positive we need to book now and go, go, go!!! We have the points for the timeshare to rent, the tickets are too good not to consider (military) and the time sounds awesome!! Is there a reason I shouldnt go with dh, ds5, ds3 and a 3 month old(probably another ds again!)??
