First Week of January - Help!

We want to stay at the Poly Conc the first week in January -

I can find ANYTHING that week? Does this sound right?

When are you checking in? Here is what we learned last year and it held true at the Poly and the GF. They kept saying that no concierge rooms were available for our check-in date of 1/1/05 but when we checked for 12/26 - 1/5 (when we were moving to the BCV) there was availability. It turns out that both hotels would not let you check in during the holiday weekend. What we did was reserve 12/26 - 1/5 then called back a couple hours later and reduced the trip to 1/1-1/5. We had no problem doing this. Both hotels showed availability for GV though and it seemed this restriction only applied to concierge (we wanted the main building at the GF).
