Now that we're getting settled into our new house I'm going to have to start focusing on our trip ... there's autograph books to be made, t-shirts for the girls, something for the group to wear to MVMCP (just to embarrass the DH's & DD18!)

Nope, I can't wait. Seems foolish wishing the summer away, but I miss my happy place. And we've never seen WDW at Christmas. So excited for that!!

I feel the same way about summer - even though it's already August and it's just speeding by! I have seen Disney at Christmas but my family hasn't.

I don't normally want to wish the summer away, but I got a nasty summer cold this week and the only thing keeping me going is that my trip to the Poly is getting closer.

Fall is in the air ... There has been that definite shift in the feel of the weather here. It's still warm during the day, but it's getting quite cool at night and there is a slight difference in the light ... Yay!! Fall is my favourite time of year and we now have that "school is just around the corner" feeling. Which means our trip is short to follow!! I'm actually starting to get those little pangs of anxiety ... "there's so much to do before the trip", "I'm not organized ...".
But what is really ridiculous is I've been going over my DH's work schedule for next year trying to figure out when would be a good time to book a bounce back! Hopeless addict ...

I started looking at pricing for 2011 and dates for bounce back too! I have taken my younger sister to Disney and this year am taking my parents. My older sister is a school teacher and told me she wishes I would take her. I have been looking at her school calendar for 2011 and hoping in December I get a bounceback that will work.

I was thinking about bouncebacks too and realized my son will be in Kindergarden!! 2011 will be a new kind of planning for me, but all Disney planning is good!!

We don't let skipping school deter us! Mind you it seems pulling your kids of of school for vacation is much less of an issue here in Ontario than I've heard of in many places in the US. Maybe TPTB realize that we have long cold repressive winters and they let us do it for our sanity (and the teachers'! )

We're taking the kids out for a week (K and 3rd), but we use it as an incentive for perfect attendance and keeping up with school work.

Disney trips are great to hold over the kids for a variety of things!

I will be taking my dd out of school for a week this December so we all can go to WDW, but next year she will be in 3rd grade and I won't be pulling her for such a long time due to she will start state testing in 3rd grade. That means we will have to go in the summer during peak season and will just have to stay longer.
