We are headed down the first week of Dec and are wondering what to expect? Anyone been able to enjoy the water parks??

Well, between yours and mine, we know there will be at least 2 families there! From what I have read this time of year is slow. How slow? I don't know, but I am hoping for the best. We also have a water park day built into our schedule, and I was wondering the same thing. We went to the NickHotel last weekend, and although the pools were warm and the weather was very warm, the water from the sprayers, slides and showers all over the slide area was cold. So if the sun went behind the clouds, or at night, it was a little chilly. At night, we only went on a few slides before hanging it up. I have read that in December, you should pack for all kinds of weather. I guess we will just decide when we are there if it fits into the picture. We have plenty of park passes, and it wouldn't hurt my feelings to have an extra day at the MK!!

Have a great trip, maybe we will bump into each other!

I was there last year the first week of December. 12/4 and 12/5 were pretty chilly, but the rest of the week, except for a slightly rainy Friday, was beautiful and warm. Of course, I am taking my little son this year the same week and I am now paranoid about the weather. Swimming is very important to a 6 year old, right? ;) And about the crowds, I hate to say this, but I thought it was pretty crowded. Last year may have been an anomaly because of the Hurricane reschedulings - which is why we ended up there the first week of December. I am hearing the bookings are way up and the resorts are booked pretty solid, so expect it to be more crowded than late September, but not near as bad as summer. :bitelip:

Arriving 12/3 ourselves. Our experiences........ water parks are doable and you'll need fleece tops at night! It can get into the 80's, but once the sun goes down (5:30/6:00) it gets pretty chilly. ;)

We will be there the first week of December as well! I'm starting to get kind of nervous about the crowd levels due to the fact that most of the resorts are sold out for that week (and it is Pop Warner week.) However, no matter how big the crowds or lousy the weather, we will still be  because we will be at DISNEY!!!
