First week in November

Can anyone tell me what is going on the first week in November that has every single hotel sold out? Wanted to add some days on to our trip and there is nothing but the wing of the Contemporary and a 2 bedroom at OKW. SMH

The NJ teacher convention ,which closes all NJ schools is 11/7 & 11/8 . Many school districts close for more than the 2 days. Also the Wine & Dine half marathon is the weekend of 11/1-11/3. Then Veterans Day is the next Monday 11/11 so many people have a long weekend at the end of the week. All together it adds up to a lot of people staying on site.

The half marathon weekend is really throwing off room availability for anyone looking for a continuous stay.

There seems to be plenty of availability if you arrive on 11/3. Even more with an 11/4 arrival.

What happens if you try to search for a longer trip, maybe a full week that includes the days you're actually hoping to book? People have noticed that Disney seems to be selectively not showing any availability for short stays. Only the highest priced rooms show as available until you search for a longer stay. There may truly be no availability, but if you find it for a longer stay it might be worth calling to see if they can help you out over the phone.
