First week in Nov vs last week in Aug?

the last 2 years we have gone the last week in Aug, which was great crowd wise but incredibly hot, we had another child in March (DD#2) and thought we'd skip WDW this year but we just couldn't stay away so we decided to go first week in Nov (4th-9th) and yes I'm a NJ teacher ☺️ I know it is Jersey week and the marathon but how does it compare to the last week in Aug? Weather will be more tolerable but how about crowds? Thanks!!

While we don't like the heat we prefer it to the uncertainty of November weather. we went two times during Jersey week, my sons birthday is the 11/7 and both years there was a cold snap. Once we ended up in walmart buying jackets and hoodies.
I hate touring the parks with heavy clothes on.
I thought the crowds during Nov where a bit heavier but not crazy. We enjoy spending lots of time at our resort pool and when we went in November, we were disappointed that it was too cold to do that.
I also thought rainy days were different. In August, you get the middle of the afternoon boomers, heavy and quick and then the sun comes back out. I thought november you had more cloud/drizzle days.

this was day one of our last November trip

Thanks for your great insight, I wasn't thinking about the extra clothes or the rain, just that it wouldn't be so hot. Well we will hope for great weather. .

Cute picture!!

I have been going around that time in Nov for years and years... The weather has been great! We have been spoiled but that doesn't mean it won't be rainy/hot this year. I'd rather be comfortable than hot and sweaty like the summer months. Last year we had nearly perfect weather... Only rained on our last full day, it was high 70's and low 80's and sunshine everyday. No humidity (which is NICE). The crowds keep getting heavier and heavier in Nov each year.. this is the one thing I miss from years ago... it was such a perfect time to go because there were no crowds at all and now it is opposite.

Crowds will be noticeably higher, but not bad. And weather will be hugely better (we hate Florida summer weather).

We have gone in mid-November numerous years, and the high has always been close to 70 or higher, quite often in the low 80's.

If given a choice between late August and early November, we would choose November every time!

We went last week of August last year and this year 11/8-11/17 -- there was just no way in hell I was subjecting myself to that heat and rain again. I rather walk around in a sweatshirt than feel like I'm going to melt.

We went mid September last year and it was hot, humid and rainy. We went in February this year and it was too cold for our young kids to swim, even with the heated pools. This year, we're going to try this mid November and mid March 2016 and see how that goes in terms of crowds and weather.

Thanks for all the info. I am looking forward to our trip. I've never been other than Summer so it will be great to see the Xmas decorations and we are planning on it being a low key trip since we'll have an 8 month old along with out 5 year old.

Thanks again everyone. Enjoy your trips too.
