First week in August

We are staying on site the first weekend in August. I know the park opens at 8 AM. If we arrive at 6:45 will we get a lot of rides in before it gets crowded?

Are all of the rides open at 7 AM? We were going to do Harry Potter for one of the days (we have a 4 day pass) and then just the rest of the park on another day. I know we won't go at 7 AM all 4 days.

I'd take any suggestions I can get, I realize it is going to be hot and crowded, but this is the only time we could go.

We also have a cabana rented for Saturday at Hard Rock. We were going to take a break from the pool and walk over to one of the parks. Since it is a Saturday, do you think it will just be too crowded and we should skip that idea?

the early entry is for the parry hotter section only for hotel guests and universal offsite hotel packages guests.
you will be able to cover it all and do repeats before the crowds arrive there.
it will open an hour before the regular opening hours of the park.

once you are done with that section, work towards the front for the shows and rides.
while the crowds are going to the back of the park, you will be traveling towards the front of the park.

eat lunch when the places open at 11:00.
you'll miss the lunch hour crowds then.

saturday is a good day to hang around the pool.
having a cabana makes that all the sweeter.

if you have the tickets and wanted to do the park in the morning, you should be okay with that crowd-wise.
