I can't remember who grabbed them. I believe they were listed on the boards sponsor siteI could afford that lol
I am so waiting for the next chapter!!!Im going to break these into segments because if not it will be really really long. We will start with BWV!
What was supposed to be a three week trip turned into a month after BWV P&G kept staring at me during my stalking and I felt compelled to bite lol. Nothing about it interested me other than I thought the one bedrooms looked bright and cheerful online and id never stayed in a one bedroom before.
I thought it would be irritating to have to go outside to eat and I thought a carnival theme with clowns was not for me. (This was my inaccurate impression) Well, it turns out we loved going outside on the boardwalk every night to eat and the whole theme in general. We love resorts that have a lot to do for resort stays and BWV fits the bill! And I did actually get excited when I spotted the nanny chairs
The food at Cake Bake Shop was phenomenal. It gets a lot of heat for being expensive, but I think it's worth the price. It had a lot of "bests" for our family. Best carrot cake ive ever had (i dont even like carrot cake and it was amazing) Best gumbo my cousin ever had. Best caprese the whole table ever had. Truffle fries were delicious.
I do admit the price gouging for some things was annoying. We asked if it were possible to sit in the middle round table (I believe its called the carousel) and they had us call concierge and try to get us to pay $1700
They try to peddle a few of their products from the gift store as well when you're eating which would be rolled into the gratuity (ridiculous), but this is a BWV review so ill get back on topic lol.
The food on the Boardwalk was GOOD. My wife, huge breakfast person, loved the breakfast sandwich at the Deli. We ate at Flying Fish and the charred steak and caramel cheesecake were delicious.
The friendship boat was a nice little ride and we used it to explore Swan and dolphin and get to Moonlight Magic! It was also a nice shelter during the rain.
We enjoyed the night time entertainment a lot. The juggling mother and daughter duo made us laugh and their stunts were impressive. The Boardwalk boys reminded me of the Dapper Dans at Disneyland which I'm a fan of. My wife, who's an artist, loved the Gallery. There were a few pieces from an artist she follows on Instagram and going there gave her more inspiration for her work she said.
Eating pizza and salad from the window and sitting along crescent lake and watching the sunset was beautiful. It reminded me of being a teenager again. At the deli, I ordered a tart one morning and paid and apparently they ran out after taking payment. No issue, they replaced it with anything else I wanted and I chose a croissant instead and we ate outside and enjoyed it. After a few minutes, the cast member that took my order came outside with the tart I wanted originally and told me it was on the house and she was glad she found me. It's stuff like this that makes me choose Disney every time.
My wife loves to play tennis and she was happy they had courts. I loved that the community hall had some free arcade games as well!
The rooms were just as gorgeous as online. I slept wonderfully and we loved the little details on the curtains and the Disney portraits.
I will say that the view was a joke (a big bush outside blocking everything cost us more points) but we were so pleased by the overall experience we didnt say anything.
Everyone at the lobby was friendly and helpful. The gift store was large and had cute ornaments (collector here) and other items specific to the resort which we always look for. I even enjoyed the pool that I know gets some flack. Perhaps it was because I saw my first Florida frog going up the steps of the water slide at night. (I love animals) It was an overall fun vibe and turns out our favorite crescent lake hotel!
We love hotels that really show the spirit of their theme and they nailed it with this one. If it had more years on it we would happily own here, but it doesnt so it doesnt fit the resale bill for us. However, it was a beautiful stay and we cant wait to return and im a bit jealous of the owners with complete access!
My wife is giving me the look of fear again that i have checked out of reality againI am so waiting for the next chapter!!!
Missed opportunitiesYea PVB and VGF surprisingly don't have one and there isn't one at CCV or BRV either.
Yep it was a ground floor room. Very easy walk to the pool.Wait you too? I keep getting a view of kids going up the slide when I do P/G. I'm going to have to request one of these next times![]()
I will for sure do this for you. Flip that SSR to fund BW and also buy PIT direct. We enjoyed it more than BCV so I would def pick that one between the two! The lower price would be the cherry on top!
I might have to take a peek at @VGCgroupie spreadsheet out of pure curiosity on savings. But I need to buy direct because if after the 16 years it is repurposed for direct only ima be pissed loll
@Mouseforward bought oneI can't remember who grabbed them. I believe they were listed on the boards sponsor site
Im scared, I am very easily influencedI will for sure do this for you. Flip that SSR to fund BW and also buy PIT direct.
VGF sets up tables in the OG VGF lobby for some activities, but it's nothing like an actual Community Hall.Yea PVB and VGF surprisingly don't have one and there isn't one at CCV or BRV either.
Glad you enjoyed BWV... I can't wait for the final ranking to see where Riviera falls overall and within the Epcot resort area!Im going to break these into segments because if not it will be really really long. We will start with BWV!

Im cranking out BCV right now since im going in order, Riv will hopefully be tomorrow! But BWV was def number one Crescent Lake for usVGF sets up tables in the OG VGF lobby for some activities, but it's nothing like an actual Community Hall.
Glad you enjoyed BWV... I can't wait for the final ranking to see where Riviera falls overall and within the Epcot resort area!
It's amazing how staying vs just touring gives you a completely different feel for the resort!Im cranking out BCV right now since im going in order, Riv will hopefully be tomorrow! But BWV was def number one Crescent Lake for us![]()
I'm about to have a Riv/BWV split stay. The ultimate Epcot cage match.Glad you enjoyed BWV... I can't wait for the final ranking to see where Riviera falls overall and within the Epcot resort area!
I am a huge advocate of try before you buy for this reason! I was completely enamored with Riv when touring before staying you know this, I daydreamed about staying there a lot! And there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, its a beautiful resort and our stay went flawless. It just didnt give me the feels that Poly and BWV did. You really have to stay somewhere to feel it!It's amazing how staying vs just touring gives you a completely different feel for the resort!
Throw in bcv too!!I'm about to have a Riv/BWV split stay. The ultimate Epcot cage match.
Trip is too short, but I might be able to swing 15 minutes at BCVThrow in bcv too!!
Me wondering if I just needed to stay at PolyIt's amazing how staying vs just touring gives you a completely different feel for the resort!
Stay at PIT during non peak season!!Me wondering if I just needed to stay at Poly![]()
YES! The fact that you can use resale points makes it easier to justify IMO.Me wondering if I just needed to stay at Poly![]()
