First Visit - What to do to prep the room?

I always run the dishes through the dishwasher. I also clean out the tub only if our son is with is (DH and I never use it) and lysol the room down. It does not take that long and I will at least feel someone clean.

I am kind of a germaphobe though.

After reading the thread on Jacuzzi tubs, I will clean that. I check the dishes, but haven't found any dirty ones yet. I also wipe down the remotes, telephones and light switches with disinfecting wipes, and then just the normal unpack suitcases, groceries, etc.

I feel better when I have my bowls of fruit on the counter and food in the kitchen. A full refrigerator is what makes a home!

Get ice, pour Owner's Locker aged rum, drink until I don't care how clean things are, repeat until I have to get on my return flight.

We don't do any of that. We unpack and head to the parks. They've already cleaned the room and I'm fine with that.

We're the same way. We head straight to a park!

A word of advice. I have stayed at BLT three times now and I would STRONGLY recommend checking out the pullout couch/chair if someone is going to be sleeping on them. I have found crumbs on the sheets twice now and the last straw was on our last trip when a used Kleenex and unidentifiable brown stain were on the sheet of the pullout chair

You're right, that's very important. Coming back at 11pm and finding out you have a mess on your hands, isn't pleasant, even worse that you have no sheets or pillows!
