I am going to go to DLR before my conference (ALA) at the end of June.

If I arrive at LAX around 8:15 in the morning, will it be worth it to head to one of the parks? How long does it take to get from LAX to DLR?

I plan to buy a 2 day park hopper. I'd like to see what DCA has to offer, but it doesn't sound like a full day park. Maybe I should just focus on Disneyland?

Some background: I've been to WDW around 12 times. (Love that place!) I'd really like to meet up with some library folks to tour with, provided that we could agree on what to see. :rotfl2:

Has anyone done the Welcome to Disneyland Tour?

You will have to contend with rush hour traffic in the morning if a weekday. I would maybe suggest starting day one at DCA as it opens a bit later.

Another thing to consider: Disneyland tickets come with the park hopper automatically if it is over a one day ticket (unlike WDW where you have to pay extra for this). Most people head to DL first then go over to DCA if it gets crowded and then head back over to DL. If you don't like DCA, you always have the option to stay at DL. ::yes::

Oh, I'd totally say head for the parks. Even if you don't get there till 10 or 10:30-- jump into DL and pick up 2 fastpasses, one for one of your favorite rides, then another for Roger Rabbit in ToonTown (that FP machine is disconnected so you can get one at the same time) then hop over and do DCA for a few hours. Collect Fastpasses. Wander around and take it all in. Go see Aladdin and watch a parade. Go check into your hotel and get something to eat for dinner. Then come back to the parks for the evening and use your FPs you collected, and watch fireworks. So fun! Two days is enough to see lots of great stuff at the parks. Second day, start early at DL and hop over to DCA when it gets busy in the late morning, then hop back in the evening.

Be sure and read Hydroguy's sticky thread at the top of the forum, for more tips on how to do this. Have a great time!

That's just my two cents worth off the top of my head. :goodvibes

Librarians rock! :thumbsup2
