first visit pins

not sure if DL has those "first visit" pins, and if so, where do I get them?
We are not staying on disney property, can we get them in the parks?

we've been to wdw and I saw it there, this will be our first time at DL and I know my kids will like it!

You can get them at City Hall on Main St., to the left as you walk through the gates.

Ask almost anywhere. Almost any CM may have one, particularily if they are behind a counter, like in a retail location.

ETA: I just mention this because it can save a lot of time over a stop to wait in line at City Hall.

City Hall often has a ginormous line. If that is the case when you get there, proceed up Main Street to just before the Partners statue and over to the left is a board with ride wait times and a cast member at a podium. Ask nicely and they have a selection of buttons- 1st visit, Birthday, etc.

Apparently the World of Disney store at DTD also stock the pins, as well as the lobbys of any of the Disney hotels

We got the first visit pin in the most unexpected place. We were at the Plaza Inn and the chef making the omelettes (spelling is off lol) heard that it was her first visit and ran to get her one.

we got our first time pin while waiting on a ride- we also got a princess button because the cm found out one of us was just at the princess breakfast- BEWARE though if you clip them on your shirt or bag you will probably lose them getting on and off rides -we sure did and had to have them replaced
