First Visit During the Holidays

We are taking our first trip back home (SSR) next Thanksgiving and wanted to attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. We are trying to plan how we are going to do everything but we cannot find the dates for the party posted anywhere. Does anyone know if that info is released yet? If not, can someone tell me what date it starts? Is it always the Sunday after Thanksgiving or a specific date?

MVMCP may not always be held the first Sunday after Thanksgiving, it was in '03, and that does seem to be the pattern. The dates come out in late April or May.

In 2002 and 2003 it was the first Sunday after Thanksgiving. We are going next Thaksgiving too and we made our plans as if the first one next year will be on Sunday the 28th. If its not, we will change our plans.

Just confirming that MVMCP usually starts the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Tickets usually are on sale in late April/early May.

The only time I can see a possibility of it not starting the Sunday after Thanksgiving is if Thanksgiving is really early.

But that is pure speculation on my part.

I wish WDW would post park hours and event info alot earlier than they do. I've looked at the US/IA website and their calendar projects about a year out. It makes it really tough when we have to book 11 months ahead of time to get rooms and try to second guess what nights the parks might be open late for the parades and fireworks, holiday hours and events, E-ride nights, etc. If we can plan 11 months out why can't they? They should be able to project hours and events based on previous years.
