First trip with our kids - June 13-20 (starting those must do lists!)

I told my travel agent to please request Jamaica for us. She wrote back and said she requested Jamaica #45 for us. We're also hoping for connecting rooms but I doubt that will happen. It's on the request too.

Ooh, Cedar Point used to be our favorite place. It's just not very kid friendly. Although it's great training grounds for the madness that is WDW. ;) The coaster lines there are CRAZY. We were there the 1st year Millenium Force opened & we waited almost 2 hours.

You're got PKI now though - that's still a nice park. Love The Beast!!

When is your next WDW trip? I was thinking you were going while you were going to be pregnant, right?

We requested as close to the food court as possible and a first floor room (my dad has bad knees) and connecting rooms if possible - all through AAA. We got nothing. When we checked in... none of those notes were on our reservation. I was seriously ticked. I handled all of the calls for the family so I felt pretty responsible. We ended up in second floor rooms in Barbados -- and there was no crib noted on the ressie either. Because we had three rooms and 8 people, we were a grand gathering so at least all of our rooms were together.

PKI is a lot of fun! We used to go with my high school youth group and I took the kids for the first time last summer. They have a great kids area, but their height requirements are pretty strict. It was hard to find much of anything Liam (our two year old) could do. I love the Beast! I have such a soft spot in my heart for a wooden coaster!

Sadly, we aren't headed back to Disney until this kiddo is over 1. If I wasn't pregnant, I might have pushed for a free dining trip but that seems like we are cutting it a bit close. :lmao: I tend to have blood pressure spikes in my pregnancies easily, so I don't think a trip to WDW would help that out. Right now, we are talking about a trip for either free dining or early December 2010.

Well I just noticed on your last message that you had started a PTR - you on-the-ball gal!!! So I'm here, if a little late - you should have given me a head smack and asked me why I hadn't subbed.

What have you decided on your Tusker House - did you call from your mom's yesterday? No matter what I'd just keep calling, people change ressies around all the time, especially re-thinking right after they were made I would guess.

I have debated a PTR but don't think I have enough to put one together right now. Maybe a TR or a dining review with food after we get home; trying out my soon-to-be-new-camera. We'll see.

Just subbing to your report! We're going to be there at the same time and also have a Crystal Palace ADR on the 19th. I think we're from the same neck of the woods, too (If I'm thinking of the right person!).

Rodeo - little slow on the uptake? ;) Eh, it's okay. You've read most of musings at this point anyway. I am calling tonight from my mom's when I pick the kids up after work. It's worth a try & a free LD call. LOL!

misslandsquirrel - book it! If I could convince my DH to go back, I swear we would go twice. But we like to go camping a lot on other wknds so I'd rather spend our money on that.

tink - what time is your ADR? Maybe we'll see each other! I can't remember where you're from but I live close to WV but still in OH.

:)

So here we go, let the buying bonanza begin.

Yesterday I begged hubby to go to Target - their dollar bins so ROCK. But not this time. They must be getting ready to change stuff out because there wasn't much. I was disappointed.

But I did salvage the trip by scoring two mini doodle pros (or as we all like to call them - magna doodles) for the plane ride. I originally had picked out two just like this:

as they were on sale for $8.99, I think.

But then at the end of the checkout line, I found these instead:

and in a few different colors. I wound up with the one pictured above for Tyler & then a purple & orange one for Delana. Best part - they were even cheaper. I'm thinking around $6.

SCORE! And now no fighting over which belongs to who. :thumbsup2

Hi there Summer

Great PTR you have going. I will also be at CBR on 6/13 - 6/20, too cool... We are going with my side of the family also. 15 total. We are not doing all diners together but lots of them... We have ressies at 50's on the same day but 2 hrs apart... I have seen you around the boards but did not know we would be so close :thumbsup2

Big mark today only 75 more days to go!!! Can't wait...

No room request yet, well actually my family and my sister's family are the only ones staying @ CBR. My brother's family is @ AK and my parents are @ WL. So my sister asked for ajoining rooms. I would also love to be on the ground floor, I always get stuck on the top floors but that is my one request!

I bought some stuff this past weekend also:

fanny pack
snorkel gear for my DS who is 12 (we are driving and staying in Destin for a night!!!
shoe organizer for misc. junk @ the hotel room, I saw that on someones thread
I also got some stuff from Targets dollar bins a few weeks ago, but I am getting the travel aqua doodles for my young ones.

We have a 15 hour drive and are leaving @ 2-3am :scared1:

:woohoo:

So, what happened with Tusker House last night? Did you call from your mom's?

I'm still here! The end and the first of the month are super busy times for me at work. I don't really have much to update. I've just been on Touring Plans when I can get on there and figuring things out. I've also been hanging out on Theme Parks. But honestly more than anything, I've been enjoying the (finally) warm weather my kids. Woot!

I haven't called about Tusker House yet. I so need to do that. The rest of this week & probably early next week are still going to be busy at work but after that I've got to start making lists...so look for plenty of postings then.

LOL!

Hey Summer - back from my trip and just checking in to see how everything is with you. :goodvibes

Isn't this just about the most boring PTR you've ever read? On a good note, I found a new book to pass the time. It's The Complete Walt Disney World 2009 by Julie Neal. It is definitely not as informative as The Unofficial Guide or the DIS but it has amazing pictures! Seeing all the stuff at WDW in pictures has me getting more & more excited by the minute. And heck, I might even pull me out a piece of paper tonight and start listing out the MUST sees at each park. I have them in my head. I just want to get them on paper.

I've been so busy lately b/c my daughter turned 2 (well actaully not yet but we had her party already) and then this past Saturday I hosted a baby shower for a friend of mine and then this weekend is Easter. AHHH!! Will it ever end?

Then the end of the month, I'm going to be in FLORIDA but not anywhere near WDW (boo!) for a work conference. I'll be in the Clearwater area and I'm really looking forward to the.....uh...conference, yeah, the conference.

So my next task is definitely making a list of must dos for each park. Maybe tonight even!

I have that book too (although not the 2009 version) and I agree - the pictures are awesome! :thumbsup2

When I start working on the must do lists, my trip really comes together. Then, I really want to do nothing but talk about it. :goodvibes

SUMMER!!!!!! (it's Jackie from MSII )

Oh my goodness! I was surprised to see you! I haven't been on here in awhile. Great pre-trip report. This is funny, we'll be there the week after you!

DUDE! You freaked me out. I thought it was the OTHER Jackie - the one we kicked off. Thank god for the ages of your kids. LOL!

So today I sit here at my desk trying to start the must do list. Uhhh....how am I supposed to do this when everything is a must do for me? To quote Veruca Salt (sorry my son is a Willy Wonka phase): "I WANT IT ALL!" Hmph.

And now I'm even starting to ponder an upgrade to a Deluxe resort. I found out some wonderful news yesterday in regards to my job and of course, it's AFTER the 4/3 deal ended. I don't think I can stomach a deluxe at rack rate. Wowza. So CBR it probably still is.

Now back to that must do list. First glance, I came up with these for MUSTS:
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Buzz Lightyear
Dumbo
Philharmagic
Peter Pan
Pirates
Haunted Mansion
Pooh
Small World
Splash Mountain
Snow White (see I just added this one after I typed, jeez!)

And the only ones I crossed off are:
Space Mountain
TTA
Hall of Presidents
which, uh, those are all closed or they'd be on the MUST do list too.

Ariel's Grotto (not worth the wait right now)
Frontierland Shootin Arcade (as if I need to part with any more of my money)
Pooh's Playful Spot
Stitch (although my sister wants to do this so she can do it with my other sister)
Carousel of Progress (that song! It makes my ears bleed!)

So yeah...that's about all I've come up with so far.
:)
