We are heading down to Orlando for a few days on the way to Tampa for a Wedding. We decided to go to Universal Tuesday and Wednesday. Maybe a little on Monday since we will have 2 + 1 tickets. We are staying across the street at the Doubletree. Are we going to be okay not having the express pass? We are almost positive we will upgrade to season passes so I am not too worried about seeing everything, but I still want the kids to have fun. There are 5 of us. My husband, myself, 10 year old, 8 year old, and an infant. Also does anyone know what the crowds will be like February 16 and 17?

Mid week should be fine in the parks

If you are thinking of upgrading to the AP, consider the preferred pass as it includes free garage parking after the pas is activated

I agree with the pp, there should be no issues and also be sure to make use of the child swap. Two years ago I went with a group of friends and an 11 month old. On all the lines where you had to put your bag in a locker we did not have to because we just left the bags with the person watching the child at child swap. Plus the kiddos that were able to ride twice as the adult that stayed with the child swapped with one of the other adults in our party to stay with the bags and the 11 month old. Universal also does a really nice job with matching the theme of the ride to the child swap areas. At the Forbidden Journey ride they even showed a Harry Potter movie!
